A spontaneous trip.

It started with a call at 6:00 a.m. from Felipe. He was supposed to meet some friends at a waterfall but had not woken up in time. I had to do the favor of driving him to San Gerardo de Dota. I did not complain as we set out on the walking road; mystical with fog and cold. Along the way, Costa Rican locals and tourists came to fish in the river and I was surprised to see that they caught some large trout. One local showed me their family's lunch before cooking it on a portable coal stove. I have not seen a cloudy forest so full of life in a very long time. Most of the time I am in a forest of lower elevation; I am only in the clouds when i near the waterfall.
